Dedicated to the memory of Arthur Ellis
This site is a tribute to Arthur. He was a much loved father, brother, uncle, friend and artist, who and will always be remembered.
His family were immensely proud when Arthur won Sense’s Deafblind Person of the Year in 2013, for his achievements on and off the drawing board, despite losing his sight and hearing to meningitis in 2006. He was also a finalist in Sense's prestigious 'Helen Keller Art Award' which resulted in a memorable family trip to Scotland!
The Editor of the Sense Magazine, Colin Anderson, became a close family friend and visited Arthur frequently to discuss Jazz music and Art, with the two holding joint art exhibitions on several occasions.
